How long does Eyebrow Microblading/ Microstroking procedure take?
Eyebrow Microblading is a 2 step process - usually 30-60 days apart. It is very important to complete both visits.
Step 1: The initial procedure takes 1.5-2 hour. During this time, a consultation is undertaken, a pigment tone is chosen and an outline of your new brow is drawn on for you to approve. Please note that our faces are NOT symmetrical, as one side is flatter than the other (Eyebrows are Sisters NOT twins), however as Certified Brow Artists, I aim to create as much symmetry as possible. Once you are satisfied with the basic shape and symmetry, the the permanent pigment is then applied using a hand held tool, not a machine.
The end result will depend on 50% pigment and 50% healing. PLL & Brows uses the highest quality pigment on the market. Everyone heals differently, and what works on one client may not be effective on another. This is why a second visit it so important; it corrects any irregularities in pigment tones, and makes the look permanent.
Step 2: The second stage of the treatment is called a ‘touch up’ and takes approximately 1 hour. This is scheduled 4-6 weeks after, as it takes that long for the pigment to settle in the skin. It is IMPERATIVE that you complete the touch up treatment, as without it, it will be a job half done and the results will not be optimum. The touch up gives the client an opportunity to get used to the initial finish before a final touch up consolidates the pigment into the skin, thus preventing fading. The color will have faded significantly in these 30 days as the skin heals, peels and fades. The look of the brows in the first 10 days will be quite defined and no indication of the finished result.
Step 3: Occasionally a third visit is necessary for certain clients, 4 weeks later again. This is not uncommon.
